Please Read Before Booking:

  • Tours are scheduled between the hours of 9:30-3:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

  • Tours are $5/student.  Chaperones are free and do not pick fruit and pumpkins.  If you would prefer to have your chaperones pick, please note that in the comment section when you make your on-line reservation and the cost will be $5/person. We apologize, but we request that you make a group decision and either all of your adults pick or none of your adults pick.
  •
  • Plan on spending about 2 hours on the farm (groups larger than 50 will probably need more time).  This includes educational time, play time, and snack/lunch time.

  • It helps us interact with your students if they wear nametags, but this is optional.

  • Minimum tour size is 12 students.  You may bring fewer, but you will need to enter 12 on the reservation page and pay the minimum $60.

  • If you have more than 40 total people, please book consecutive time slots for each group of approximately 25 people.  For example, an elementary school with 100 total people should book four consecutive time slots (Each time is 30 minutes apart).

  • The picnic area will be reserved for you for thirty minutes beginning one hour after your scheduled start time.  If your start time is 10 am, the picnic area will be reserved for you from 11-11:30.  If you prefer to not eat at the reserved time, you are welcome to bring blankets and picnic in the grass at any time you desire.

  • You are welcome to bring packed lunches or snacks or we can provide lunches for you.  Just click the link to see the available options.  We request at least one week's notice for food orders.

  • Bring sharpies with you to label student's apple bags.  You may even want to bring a plastic grocery bag for each student to hold their pumpkin and their bag of apples.

  •  If you have a tour scheduled for September or October at 10 am or later you may arrive early (as early as 9:30 am) and let your students have time in our play area before their scheduled start time.  The play area is not a private area; other schools may be playing as well.  We request that chaperones are assigned to a group of students and stay with those students in the play area.  Your educational talk, wagon ride, and picking time are private.  If you choose to come early, please keep an eye on the time and be ready to start your tour at your scheduled time.  If your tour is for summer or in November, we ask that you arrive at your start time.  Since we are busier in September and October, groups may not be able to get their first choice of start time so we're trying to make sure they get their play time.

Teacher Testimonials...

  • I was on my daughter's fieldtrip to your orchard with Hampden Elementary.  It was the best field trip I've been on (and I am a former teacher, so I've been on my share of them)!  It was just wonderful to see firsthand how sincere and family-oriented you really are!  It was quite an enjoyable day for children and adults alike.  Thanks again! Sharon Dietz
  • On behalf of the students of PA Virtual Charter School, I would like to thank you for the excellent outing in October.  The students commented on how interesting the program was and how much they enjoyed the activities.  Thank you for allowing us the use of the tents.  Your careful attention to details, your organization, and your friendly, helpful staff made it possible for our groups to move smoothly through your activities.  This was an excellent outing for our students.  I hope that we will be able to reserve a tour in the future.  Deborah Umbreit, PAVCS.
